Mar 1 - 14

Senja's main accomplishments at 6 1/2 months are eating and moving.  She started eating solid (mushy) foods, but "eating" is a bit of an exaggeration.  We consider it an accomplishment to get all of the food out of the bowl and in the vicinity of Senja's mouth (chin, nose, ears, hair, and high chair tray are all acceptable receptacles).  Those of you who have not fed a 6 month old in a while would be amazed at how far a mere tablespoon of mush can go (those of you with little ones know exactly how far).

Senja continues to practice her crawling position and is making forward movement by lunging herself forward onto her face.  Ah, the fun of watching her figure out that those little arms and legs belong to her.
Cadel has decided he is a Baby Sea Lion, Justin is Papa Sea Lion, Stacey is Mama Sea Lion, and Senja is a Very Little Baby Sea Lion.  Perhaps we are going to the zoo too often and should focus a little more on finding some people friends for him...
Other things of note:  Cadel celebrated his 2 and three-quarters birthday on March 7th and on the same day Stacey and Justin celebrated their 7th anniversary of the day they met.
