Welcome New Year! Winter has arrived with snow and cold temperatures. We are enjoying our time together as a family, and excited about our newest family member who could be arriving any time now. While the actual "due date" is February 6th, if this one follows the path of its older siblings then a mid-February arrival is more likely (and, as we have learned during our pregnancy with Cadel, Scandinavian babies tend to prefer a 42-43 week gestation over the 40 weeks we refer to as "on time").
Senja is always eager to don her skis and scamper along for a while, but is then is happy for a ride from her Papa!
Cadel and Justin get on the slopes at our local ski area, Crotchett Mountain. Cadel spent lots of days last winter and already this year on nordic skis, but here is he for the first time since his 3rd birthday on downhill skis.
Senja says a big Thank You to her Papa for bringing her flowers on January 24th to celebrate her Finnish Name Day. A cheerful bit of color amid the dark winter days.Cadel and Stacey (here 38 weeks along), have a little conversation with "Baby Arlo" (our 'fetus name' for the little one).
